China All the Way From New York

One of my favorite things to do (in my mind) is to think about what my home would look like if I was not married. See... if I were a singleton, I would not have to compromise. My home's aesthetic would not be a combination of "us" but just plain ole "me". I do this a lot when I walk into Antrhopologie and peruse their home section. Today I got a lovely email from my friend Kate, you may know her as Kate Spade... well Kate has a whole line of china. I decided that this is what I would get if it were only up to me...
The Larabee Dot glasses. I would say I not only adore the dot motif, but the Larabee name...as it reminds me of the movie, Sabrina (for the record I am a fan of the original and the remake).

I would them pair them with the Market Street Blue china... aren't they classic and whimsical all at the same time? I adore these. I had polka dot plates similar to this that SOMEONE made me give up.

Below you can see the Market Street cereal bowl, wouldn't you want to eat your cheerios in this every morning? I know I would...

The best part is how affordable Kate's collection is. *swoon..... followed by a *le sigh....

  3. I do THe. Same. thing. All of the time. If it was just me, my bedroom could look like this. Or my decorations would be like this.

It just shows how compromising and loving we are :)

  4. You know I love the china and the dots. Luckily for me, D defers to me on all such things . . . so far. Does that change at some point? I hope not!

  5. I LOVE the Kate Spade table pieces! They always have the loveliest pieces with little polka dots. I managed to scoop up some plates and bowls at TJ Maxx on clearance for ubber cheap awhile back, and they still make me smile whenever I fetch them from the cupboard. Those Larabee glasses are completely swoon-worthy - especially for any Sabrina diehard! I think Kate Spade goes with everything, so really it's not much of a compromise... I say you add a little more KS to your life!
